Thomas A. Gionis, MD JD MBA MPH MHA LLM FAIHQ

Dr. Gionis is an active practicing Physician and Surgeon (45 years), and is a United States Fulbright Scholar in Law, former United States Fulbright PEER Review Committee Member (Global-Public Health), and has served as a two-time recipient as UCLA Visiting Scholar in Public Health, Division of Healthcare Management and Policy, UCLA School of Public Health. He has been recognized as being the youngest individual in the United States to be awarded the M.D. degree, having completed 3 ½ years of college in one year, starting medical school at 17, and being awarded the M.D. degree at 21 years of age. Dr. Gionis subsequently obtained his JD law degree from the John Marshall Law School, Chicago (cum laude). Dr. Gionis is licensed to practice medicine and surgery in the States of California, Florida and New York.

Fulbright Academy of Law, Peace and Public HealthDr. Gionis also serves as President and Chairman of the Fulbright Academy of  Law, Peace and Public Health, and its Institutional Review Board (IRB) (Fulbrightacademylaw.org); an IRB which is registered with both the United  States  Department  of  Health,  Office  of  Human  Research Protection (OHRP), and the United States   F.D.A.  Dr. Gionis is a fully trained Cardiovascular Surgeon; he completed his Cardiovascular Surgery Fellowship at Tulane Medical Center- Charity Hospital (New Orleans), and his Research Fellowship, Emergency Medicine, Harvard University-Massachusetts General Hospital, Department of Emergency Medicine Research (MGH) (Boston).

Dr. Gionis has served as an Invited lecturer where he taught Advanced Trauma Life Support at Harvard-MGH for over a decade; and has also served as an Invited lecturer for the United Nations UNESCO organization, world-wide, on topics such as protection of human research subjects, international law, public health, bioethics, and disaster management. He is a former Member of the Board of Directors and Physician Board Examiner, for the American Board of Disaster Medicine, and is a Distinguished Fellow, Royal Society of Fellows, and Fellow, American Institute for Healthcare Quality, and is Board Certified by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. Dr. Gionis formerly served as Surgeon-in-Chief of the Miami Stem Cell Treatment Center and the Manhattan Regenerative Medicine Medical Group. He has served as Adjunct Professor in Law, and has taught law in both JD and LLM programs at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law, Walter H. & Dorothy B. Diamond International Tax Program, and the St. Thomas University School of Law (Miami).

In addition to his two doctorates (MD and JD), Dr. Gionis holds four Masters Degrees: Master in Business Administration (MBA; Pepperdine University); Master of Public Health (MPH; UCLA); Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA: Seton Hall); and Master of Law (LLM; St. Thomas University School of Law).

Dr. Smyrniotis is a Physician and Surgeon, and serves as Medical Director of the Florida Medical Specialty Group. She is licensed to practice Medicine in the States of Florida and California. Dr. Smyrniotis graduated from Indiana University with the Bachelor of Science degree in both Chemistry and Biology. She acquired her Medical Degree, along with a Master’s Degree in Science and Physiology, from The University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School.

American Board of Medical Marijuana PhysiciansDr. Smyrniotis also serves is Vice-President of the American Board of Medical Marijuana Physicians (ABMMP.com). The American Board of Medical Marijuana Physicians (ABMMP) is the only official certifying body in the United States which provides Board Certification to physicians with expertise in the medical therapeutics and use of cannabinoids and medical marijuana.

Dr. Smyrniotis post-graduate residency training and background were in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Vincent’s Hospital, New York. Dr. Smyrniotis also has pursued her interest in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and integrative medicine and obtained her certification in Functional Medicine and Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. In addition, Dr. Smyrniotis has completed advanced Fellowship training in Functional Medicine.

Dr. Smyrniotis previously served as Medical Director, Stem Cell Research and Treatment, at the Miami Stem Cell Treatment Center, and the Manhattan Regenerative Medicine Medical Group. Additionally, she has served as Professor of Biomedical Sciences and Human Physiology, and Chairwoman, Department of Integrative Medicine, American University of Sovereign Nations School of Medicine. Dr. Smyrniotis is deeply committed to both the Hippocratic Oath and Declaration of Geneva.

Galal S. Gough, MD MPH

Dr. Galal Gough is a nationally and internationally well-recognized and respected Physician and Surgeon who has been practicing medicine and surgery for 50 years. Dr. Gough has served, as a gubernatorial appointee, for over 8 years, on the Medical Board of California (the  Official State Licensing agency for Physicians in the State of California). At the Medical Board of California, he served as President of the Medical Board of California, as well as both Vice-President and President, Division of Licensing of the Medical Board, State of California. Additionally, Dr. Gough has served as a gubernatorial appointee, on the Committee of Bar Examiners, State Bar of California, for approximately 15 years. His position included Member of the Moral Character Committee of the Bar Examiners.

Dr. Gough is a Retired Lt. Commander, United States Navy (Bronze Star, Combat V, Vietnam); and is a fully trained and Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. He is a Fellow, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Fellow, American College of Surgeons. Dr. Gough has served as an Attending Obstetrician Gynecologist at numerous hospitals in Los Angeles County, and ultimately served as the Chairman of those Clinical Departments of those hospitals; as well as serving on the Executive Medical Staff Committee and other leadership Committees of those hospitals, where he also served as Chairman.

Dr. Gough has served both on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles Obstetrical and Gynecological Assembly, and then as President of the Obstetrical and Gynecological Assembly of Los Angeles, and has also served as Assistant and Associate and Emeritus Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Southern California School of Medicine.

Captain Edward M. Morales is a 33 year highly awarded veteran of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. He is a Recipient of both the Medal of Valor Award, and the Certificate of Commendation, Dedication and Service. Captain Morales has noted extensive experience and expertise in Hazardous Materials, Homeland Security, and served as Terrorism Liaison Officer Coordinator, Joint Regional Intelligence Center, Los Angeles Operational Area Terrorism Fusion Center. In addition to his experience as Incident Commander on All-Hazard type emergencies, Captain Morales has direct experience in providing training and education to Law, Fire and Military agencies.

Captain Morales has additional significant experience with the analysis of Classified Intelligence, dissemination of allowable Intelligence, the development of Standard Operating Procedures, and the writing and implementation of Emergency Operational Plans for Dignitary Protection and Special Events.  Captain Morales has served as Fire Instructor at multiple levels, as well as, Hazardous Materials Instructor; Urban Search and Rescue Instructor; Community Emergency Response Team-CERT Instructor; and Terrorism First Responder Operational Instructor. As Urban Search and Rescue Captain, Level III, International Deployment Team, Captain Morales was involved with all types of Rescue Systems, inclusive of Rope, Confined Space, and both Complex and Swiftwater Rescue Systems.  Captain Morales completed his Associates of Science degree at Long Beach City College, and also completed studies in Public Personnel Administration at California State College, Los Angeles.

Yeota Christie is a specialist in both competitive and collective intelligence, utilizing her specialized skills, knowledge and expertise in both the national and international business fields.  These skills have led her to the management and coordination of complex transactions which have involved over 4,000 residential and multi-family transactions throughout the globe. With that knowledge and expertise base, Ms. Christie has served as a subject matter expert witness, and national and international consultant and senior project manager.  She has provided expertise involving project analytics, contract review, broker price opinions & valuations for insurance adjustors, as well as for Law firms, while also being designated as an expert from site inspections to depositions, mediations, as well as settlement negotiations and trial testimony.

Ms. Christie’s international experience has led her to spend significant amounts of time in projects located in Portugal, England, and France. She has developed and implemented marketing campaigns, feasibility studies, and sales strategies, paired with commercial financing for complex projects and partnership acquisitions. Her experience has provided her significant roles in serving as regional training coordinator of sales and marketing operations. Ms. Christie obtained her Associate of Arts in Merchandise Marketing, from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, has studied Underwriting at the American School of Mortgage Banking, and maintains her California Broker License.
